Receiving Holy Communion is the second step of initiation into the Catholic Faith.
Receiving First Holy Communion usually takes place for a Baptized child when they reach the age of understanding (around age 8).
At Christ The King, instruction for children starts in First grade, and continues through 2nd grade. The child will then be prepared to receive the Sacrament at the end of the 2nd grade year.
Children may be enrolled in Seton Catholic School, or may attend Religious Education Classes here at Christ the King. Register here
For those who are older, instruction will need to be catered to the individual according to their age, and level of Religious Catechism they have received.
